Renewable Energy Lawyer
US - Houston
We are currently seeking a Renewable Energy Attorney to work with the world’s largest renewable energy companies.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with our internal corporate team to provide strategic legal guidance on renewable energy matters, including wind and solar power projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, such as power purchase agreements, supply agreements, and joint venture contracts related to renewable energy.
- Provide comprehensive legal support for the acquisition and development of solar, wind, and energy storage projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Advise on risk management strategies and help shape the company’s approach to emerging legal issues in the renewable energy sector.
Qualifications:
- JD and bar admission, active and in good standing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial contracting, with significant in-house experience at energy companies.
- Demonstrated expertise in the renewable energy sector, particularly in wind and solar power.
- Specialization in distributed generation, including both solar and wind energy storage technologies.
- Proven experience in development, real estate, permitting, construction, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) related to renewable energy projects.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $170,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more. Axiomites predominately work remotely, with the exception that some clients require on-site presence.
