Employment Lawyer

Axiom is currently a skilled Employment Lawyer to join our network and provide flexible, variable hourly work to our clients. In this role you will leverage your expertise to advise and support our small and mid-sized corporate clients on a wide range of employment law matters. This role is ideal for a legal professional seeking flexibility in their work schedule, allowing them to take on variable hourly projects tailored to their areas of expertise and interest. In addition to Employment Law Lawyers, Axiom is also seeking lawyers skilled in mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on employment-related issues, including but not limited to: hiring practices, employment contracts, workplace policies, employee relations, discrimination, harassment, terminations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, policies, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support client needs and develop sound legal strategies.
- Represent clients in employment-related disputes and litigation as needed.
- Stay current on changes in employment law and advise clients on the implications of new legislation and case law.
- Collaborate with clients to develop proactive strategies aimed at minimizing legal risks in the workplace.
- Offer training and workshops to client HR teams on employment law compliance and best practices.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, ensuring clear and responsive communication.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with the Arizona state bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing employment law, preferably with experience advising mid-sized organizations.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of clients and the consultancy.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
Axiom offers a competitive compensation starting at $150,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more. Axiomites predominately work remotely, with the exception that some clients require on-site presence.
