Responsibilities:

• Managing a large litigation portfolio and project including unfair dismissal claims and worker's compensation claims
• Focusing heavily on Federal Court litigation and acting as the POC
• Liaising with external counsel, drafting affidavits and managing witnesses
• Engaging in mediations and conciliations in Fair Work Commission and Employment Tribunal
• Undertaking ad hoc advisory work including advising on new products and employment legal risks
• Advising the business on various risks and implications on new business
• May also be required on to provide advisory support to HR

Requirements:

• You’ll have a minimum of 5 years relevant PQE
• You’ll be able to comfortably run discovery calls with various internal and external stakeholders
• You’ll be a team player and willing to undertake tasks such as taking meeting minutes, attending court hearings with the appointed law firm and taking internal court notes to update necessary stakeholders
• Any labour dispute experience will be highly regarded
• Must live in Sydney and be willing to work onsite
• Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice law in Australia.
