Real Estate Counsel

Axiom is currently a skilled Real Estate Lawyer to join our network and provide flexible, variable hourly work to our clients. In this role, you will bring your expertise in real estate law to a diverse client base, including homebuilder and industrial clients. You will provide strategic legal support in a fast-paced environment, focusing on leasing, finance, acquisition, and due diligence matters. In addition to real estate, Axiom is also seeking lawyers skilled in employment law and mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on complex leasing transactions, ensuring comprehensive risk assessment and compliance with the latest legal regulations.
- Assist clients with securing loans, managing distressed loan situations, including modifications, extensions, and foreclosures. Provide guidance on financial agreements and negotiate terms that align with client objectives.
- Lead legal processes related to buying and selling real estate assets, such as land, buildings, and apartment complexes. Offer expert advice on acquisitions, preparing legal documents, conducting negotiations, and closing transactions.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, including survey reviews, environmental and water issues, title reviews, and zoning compliance.
- Collaborate with clients to address a variety of real estate-related legal issues, ensuring all legal standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with the Arizona state bar.
- Extensive experience in real estate finance, acquisition, and leasing, preferably within a law firm setting.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality legal services at a pace comparable to top-tier law firms.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $150,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more. Axiomites predominately work remotely, with the exception that some clients require on-site presence.
