Commercial Technology Counsel
Canada - Toronto
Axiom is seeking a versatile and experienced Commercial Technology Counsel to support a Fortune 50 technology company in advanced technology initiatives. This role involves serving as a trusted advisor on platform enablement deals, marketing and subscription services, and/or complex commercial agreements across a broad range of business sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal guidance for marketing, subscription services, software services, and/or hardware design to support the advancement of technology products and services on a global stage.
- Draft and negotiate complex Statements of Work (SOWs), licensing agreements, partnership agreements, distribution agreements, as well as vendor and supply agreements.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure comprehensive legal support and risk management across multiple product lines.
- Offer strategic advice and sound judgment to stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Law degree and license to practice law in at least one Canadian jurisdiction.
- Extensive experience with commercial contracts in the tech industry, including managing complex licensing agreements related to operating systems, subscription services, or innovative digital consumer goods.
- Ability to manage complex commercial negotiations and contracts across diverse technical and business areas.
- Proven track record of supporting product, engineering, and partnership stakeholders in a multinational corporate environment.
- Experience with related technologies or experience working with top-tier tech platforms is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, creative and pragmatic problem-solving abilities, and superb business judgment.
