Business Immigration Lawyer

Axiom is seeking a skilled Business Immigration Lawyer to provide expertise on complex immigration matters for our client, a prestigious global management consulting firm. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience counseling multinational corporations on employment-based immigration compliance, employee mobility trends, regulatory changes, and visa applications and processing. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a distinguished organization in an advisory role, providing holistic counsel on employment-based immigration.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and provide expert analysis on complex immigration issues and regulations impacting large multinational organizations across various industries.
- Manage all aspects of complex employment based visas, including L1 and H1B visas, and review and respond to RFEs (Requests for Evidence) efficiently and accurately, ensuring a successful resolution.
- Handle denials and re-filings with strategic insight and professionalism and prepare and file appeals, effectively addressing any objections to initial applications.
- Develop strategies to address potential border closures and other evolving immigration challenges.
- Return to filing Mandamus Petitions when necessary to advocate on behalf of clients.
- Collaborate with a cross functional team, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence in execution.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in business immigration law, within a law firm or corporate environment.
- Demonstrated experience with H1B visas, including managing high volumes of applications.
- Strong expertise in employee mobility, dealing with intricate corporate immigration issues, with direct experience advising corporate stakeholders.
- Efficient multitasker with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and across various functions.
- Active bar license in good standing, authorized to practice law in the jurisdiction you plan to operate in.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $135,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more. Axiomites predominately work remotely, with the exception that some clients require on-site presence.
