Government Contracts Lawyer
US - Remote
We are currently seeking Government Contracts Lawyers. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in government contracts law, with expertise in advising clients on a wide range of issues related to state, local, and/or federal government contracts. These attorneys will be embedded within in-house legal teams and provide legal advice and support to their existing contracting teams, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:

Advise clients on all aspects of government contracting, including contract formation, negotiation, performance, and termination, and provide support to clients on government contracts-related issues as they arise.

Assist clients in navigating government procurement processes, including bid protests, requests for proposals (RFPs), and contract disputes.

Provide legal counsel on compliance matters related to government contracts, including applicable regulations, such as FAR and DFARS, certifications, and reporting requirements.

Provide legal counsel and support to clients on all aspects of state and local government contracting, including bid preparation, proposal submission, contract negotiation, and contract administration.

Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters related to state and local government procurement, including adherence to applicable statutes, regulations, and policies.
Qualifications:
- Active bar license in the state in which you reside.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on government contracts, preferably in a law firm, in-house or government agency setting.

Strong knowledge of U.S. federal acquisition regulations (FAR), agency-specific regulations, and other laws governing government contracts.
- Strong knowledge of state and local procurement laws, regulations, and procedures, including experience with public sector contracting and regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications (not required but considered advantageous):

Experience representing clients in bid protests, claims, and disputes before government agencies, administrative bodies, and federal courts.
- Familiarity with specific state and local government procurement systems and electronic bidding platforms.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively advise clients and navigate complex regulatory environments.

Experience advising clients on a variety of state and local government contract issues, including RFP responses, contract modifications, and compliance audits.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $135,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more.
